ABOUT Kekoa

Kekoa Baysa is a New York–based photographer, cinematographer, and filmmaker, but photography is where most of his time goes. His work mixes cinematic lighting and pop culture references to create images that feel like they're pulled from a movie that doesn't exist. Coming from a theater background, he treats every photo like its own little stage, where an entire world lives inside a single frame. Most of his ideas come from things he genuinely finds funny, usually because they're kind of dumb. His work leans into irony, absurdity, and creating scenes that feel like a joke frozen in time.
